Thanks for the reply. This isn't an HTML window in Safari that
can be tested with JavaScript - it's the save dialog sheet that
opens when I do a "View Source" command then do a "Save"
command, all during a running script. I'm not sure I know how to test
that using JavaScript.

I would try using Safari's AppleScript "do Javascript" command.

If you do so, be aware that Safari (in fact: Cocoa, but don't spread
the word) does not really know among its windows which is frontmost
and which is not, so prefer working with only one window. Like in the
pre-Multifinder era.
