White Mailboxes

There is an Apple article,
that describes "mailboxes appear white in the mailboxes list, instead of blue". White mailboxes contain only sub-mailboxes, while blue mailboxes can contain both messages and sub-mailboxes. (It is possible to manually make a mailbox containing only sub-mailboxes into a white mailbox by trying to delete it, but I don't like that method since sounds funny when you try to explain it to someone.)
This afternoon, I wrote an AppleScript that will simply change all mailboxes containing only sub-mailboxes into white mailboxes. (But I haven't applied it yet.) One of the benefits of white mailboxes is that you can't put messages directly into them. Before doing more, I'm wondering if anyone has used white mailboxes and found a problem with them. (?)
