Hi,

On my iPhoto 8, the "type" properties of class "album" are read-only, it would appear. And the command

new album name "My album"

only creates regular albums.

GUI scripting (manipulating menus and dialog boxes) may be the only way.

Thus far I have only been able to create albums. I have consulted the iPhoto dictionary and do not see a new folder as a companion to new album. I do see that an album can be of various types, such as folder, but no clear way to create a new album of type folder. If this is possible, what is my syntax?
