G'day Gents & Ladies
Yvan & Shane, I'm not used to using System Events, but will take the
advice on board.
Shane, which would be the fastest, your method of getting a container,
then creating a folder, or creating the folder in one line as I
posted, and Mari originally tried? Just wondering in case Mari needs
the fastest script possible.
Regards
Santa

Avoiding the Finder is a very good choice, IMO. We've had Apple people
recommending it here and in dictionaries for a long time, but the
message is
seemingly falling on deaf ears. If Finder scripting ever dies
completely, as
opposed to limping along, I hope we don't get the same hue and cry as
happened with the date changes -- people have been warned.
My personal choice would probably be shell commands, but maybe
that's a case
of bad memories and suspicion of apps where lots of stuff in the
dictionary
doesn't work.
Of course there are still some things that the Finder can do and
system
Events can't, so sometimes it's not a matter of choice.
