OK Yvan
That is a great help
I can now do things like
get properties of cell rowNum of column colNum
set value of cell 2 of column 2 to 13
set value of cell "B2" to 14

But I'm now stuck on these problems:
• How do I address a cell using the row and column header labels?
 And:
• How do I address a cell range?

Everything I try comes up with errors and the Numbers dictionary doesn't help.

I can get the name of a spreadsheet in IWork Numbers like this:
set thetable to get name of table of first sheet of front document
but I can't address a cell or a range or get the properties of a
cell of that table!
I can't get or set the value/contents/properties of a cell.
I know it can be done - I have done it - but I forgot the magic
words and can't do it again!!
Can anyone help?

tell application "Numbers" to tell document dName to tell sheet sName
to tell table tName to get properties of cell rowNum of column colNum
