Out of curiosity, what's the output of
properties of word 1
on your box with Snow Leopard?
Sure, there is an inconsistency !
If I uses Font Name as you offer, the two words remain purple but
I may run the script.
Damn... I really don't know for that purple thing...
I have the explanation.
In Snow Leopard, 'properties' are displayed in Verdana purple
so it's the normal behavior.
More surprising:
on a new attempt, the original script with
set properties of word i to {font name:ArialUnicodeMS"}
behaves flawlessly.
Sounds as it at first tries it was unable to enable the link between
two items.
