OK, I just tried the OP's script on Tiger 10.4.11 and it doesn't work
there either and Mark's solution fixes it:
copy my MakeTimesRelativeToDate(LunchEndsV, DateVar) to LunchEndRelV
So this isn't new to Leopard or Snow Leopard.
My apologies for the ranting.
Although I'm still miffed that I have to go back and fix scripts that
weren't "wrong" before, but no longer work. But I've probably said
enough about that too.
