I'm looking into an OSAX called 24U Appearance OSAX 3.1. It does exactly
what I want but it has some problems with a few applications such as Excel.
It seems to work o.k. within tell blocks for Word, Safari, TextEdit, and
Entourage.
They are aware of these problems under Leopard and Snow Leopard and have
promised to fix them but they do not know when. The problem I encountered is
the when using their display dialog in an Excel tell block the display
dialog hangs and you must force quit Excel to terminate the script.
I believe I have a temporary workaround by prefacing the
errant Display dialog with "Tell me to ".
