apple script and Final Cut Pro

  • Subject: apple script and Final Cut Pro

I am trying to write an applescript which I will be using to perform some simple tests of a plugin my company has written for Final Cut Pro

I want to do something along the following lines

open fcp
 open a test document
 modify the test document
 apply our plugin
export the document via another plugin of ours
close fcp

First I tried to create this by using the record feature of apple script, but fcp apparently does not support this.

I have been digging around the apple developer web site and the web in general looking for examples but I haven't had much luck so far.

Can anybody point me to some good information online or any books which will help me with this?

thanks,

Jay
