Yesterday I submitted my own version of a bug report (7242815) at
bugreport.apple.com about not being able to use an AppleScript to set icon
positions in Finder windows set for icon view.

Today, I added the results of my latest discovery pertaining to the issue to
the bug report:

"The icon position as set in the example script is correctly displayed if
the Finder is quit and relaunched."
