Hi Scott,
No doubt you're already aware that you can get some basic documentation by
typing 'man osascript' in Terminal. The same information is available online
at:
http://developer.apple.com/mac/library/documentation/Darwin/Reference/ManPag
es/man1/osascript.1.html
Be sure to check the related commands 'osacompile' and 'osalang'.
Also, in 2007 there was an introductory article about osascript in MacTech
magazine by Edward Marczak. It is archived here:
