Well, that should give Bert some choice! :)
Results returned for the dates from 28th January 2010 to today (4th
February 2010):
NG (adjusted_age): {5, 4, 3, 3, 3, 2, 1, 0}
Deivy (correct_AGE_INFO): {5, 4, 3, 4, 3, 2, 1, 0}
Mark (business_days): {6, 5, 3, 3, 3, 3, 2, 1}
Luther (workDaysOld): {5, 4, 3, 3, 3, 2, 1, 0}
Ed (CountBusinessDays): {6, 5, 4, 4, 4, 3, 2, 1}
Timings in seconds (measured with 'current date' on a MacBook Pro 2.53 —
no 'GetMilliSec' on this machine!), getting the difference between 26th
January 2010 and today 5000 times:
NG: 1
Deivy: 1
Mark: 1
Luther: 24
Ed: 1
Ditto, getting the difference between 27th July 2009 and today:
NG: 1
Deivy: 1
Mark: 1
Luther: 24
Ed: 14
Not much to choose between them. Luther's surprisingly slow timings are
entirely due to his '(date (date string of …))' lines.
NG
