Sorry to say, I was suggesting a possibility, not stating a fact. I have no
idea as to why Word responds while minimized on my Mac, but not on yours. I
also have no idea what settings might affect that functionality.
My Mac is a 2.4 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo with 4 GB of memory running Mac OS
10.5.8. I'm using Microsoft Word 2008 v12.2.3. If your setup is different,
that *might* suggest yet another possibility.
