You could check /Library/Preferences/com.apple.loginwindow.plist

One way to change System Preferences is to:
First, identify the .plist file in the Preferences folder where the information is stored.
Second, read/modify/write this file to manage preferences.

Do you know the preference file involved, here?
(I've looked, but did not identify such a file.)
