automator issue - folder actions
I'm fooling with automator to do the following on 10.4.11
goal - when the main source folder1 is added to in the finder - then
copy contents to another folder for backup
created automator workflow/ saved as app...
1 - get spec. finder items = selects the main folder1 that got updated
2 - create zip archive of that folder1 in a tmp folder on the same drive
3 - copy the zip archive to the Backup destination
then saved in automator as plug in for folder actions for the main
source folder
- when I run the automator app - all works fine
** but when I add to the folder and folder action triggers automator
app - it stops at step #2 - and can not make the zip
BTW: if I disable step 2 - it will get to step 3 and copy (non zip)
Q: how do I fix this?
