Paul, I mean, iPhoto sucks from a professional point of view. As a photographer, that I am, is a pain. If you need to control any workflow using iPhoto, you will be suffering a lot. Of course there are people for every flavor, thanks god!! cheers

Okay, it may not work for you. I can accept that. But I really take offense at blanket statements -- I know, it wasn't you -- that lambast the hard work of others. In reality, iPhoto works wonderfully well for its intended audience. Aperture is aimed at professionals like yourself, and you still might not like it, but it also does not "suck". It works quite well as designed. But no piece of software will please everyone. If you're not happy with the design, implementation or feature list, then simply look for another solution or politely state your gripes to the developers, who I am sure will be more than happy to accommodate any reasonable request. Apple isn't perfect. Neither are we. Let's live with understanding and harmony.
This is my final post on this subject.
