Or CpMac on earlier OS X versions, perhaps in 10.4, definitely in 10.3.

But do the UNIX copying tools, when they apply recursively to a directory, set up the .DSstore files? Will the Finder display the copied folder the same way as the original? It it enough to simply copy .DSstore along with the rest of the files?
