Ed,

If I save it as an App on the desktop, then drop a folder from the desktop on it  I get a similar error.

And if I run it and select a desktop folder I get a similar error.

Does it fail on every folder, or just specific folders?  Does it work with folders dropped on the icon?

Shane,

That's strange as the folder is selected by the "
choose folder" command.

In 2005 I don;'t believe there was application bundles.

They came with 10.3, admittedly in a very low-key way, and that was late
2003. But most people ignored them for a long time.

It fails at "tell application "Finder" to set theKind to (kind of
currentItem)" with the error;

Finder got an error: Can't get alias "Macintosh
HD: Users: RLP: Documents :Clutter: HTM L: photo:work folder:".

I don't see that here. That error suggests it can't find a folder at that
path.
