How do I write an info grabbing utility?

Hello,

I was wondering if anyone has a suggestion or way to create a small utility, to run, that will show a user the name/shared name of the machine they are on and it's IP address?

I have kind of seen something like this, and it was great for when we need an easy way to gather info from a user to ARD to their machine.  Any help would be great!  Thanks!
