I have used XMLLib for quite a while myself, and I'd like to echo Stan to say that I am indebted to -- and greatly appreciate -- Satimage myself. Although it escapes me how exactly to do this, you can include an OSAX in a script bundle so that your script will run on every Mac right out of the box.

The other thing worth pointing out is the power of XPath. Make sure that you learn and understand it.
