OK.  If it's your AppleScript that you're attaching to a message after it is received I don't have any problem.

I read the original as a way to develop the AppleScript at the sending end, perhaps as a MIME attachment. It would be run on the destination machine when the message is opened. I remain convinced that that ought to be impossible.
