Quicktime Timecode track?

Ok, I'm full of questions today.

Does anyone know how to create, replace, regenerate or modify a QT Timecode track?

I've edited together a number of clips into a single QT movie successfully, but those clips all had TC starting at various times. Now my resultant QT movie TC jumps at each edit, resulting in discontiguous timecode.

Once I've concatenated all my video, I'd like to delete the resultant TC track and replace it with a new one, starting at 01:00:00:00. This is all ProRes 23.98 material, but I presume that any solution could be adapted for any frame rate.

A lengthy search has resulted in lots of info about creating text tracks, for chaptering, etc, but I can't figure out the Timecode track issue and if there is a relationship.

Thanks in advance.

Steve
