I'll soon (today) start experimenting with that.
Apart from that, what also surprises me is when I run an InDesign script directly from Script debugger a page builds up 3 times faster than when I run the same script from a saved applet.
Isn't that strange? I wish the speed of the applet was the same as Script Debuggers execution speed. I must be doing something wrong here, or . . . ?
Not at all,
is well know that if you run your script as an applet, it will run slower than a compiled script.
If you need to saved your code with some files attached the best way, in order to speed up, is save as a script bundle.
