What I need is what Object: Transform: Scale does.
Really, there's too much wrong to go on depth on it.
And it's actually not a bad assumption to make in this case. Try it and see is actually more useful than me spending the time to try and explain it and you spending the time to read it.

It's not a complete solution.
Can you perhaps be specific? "it's not a complete solution" tells no one anything, and "if you tried it, you'd see what I mean" is assuming that anyone trying it will do so with files set up the same way yours are. That's a bad assumption to make, and it leaves a gob of room for "Well, it worked for me". What actual problems are you having when you scale images outside of GUI scripting?
