This does exactly that.
Works tried changing the always open folders in a new window and open new windows in column view prefs and they had no effect.
Worked the same on networked and local volumes. I’ve also tested it with a list of folders from different volumes and that works too.
But I’m on 10.4
Ed, I see what you see and I'm on 10.6.4.
Luther, have you changed any so-called "secret" Finder settings via "defaults write..." commands? Or (and I'm grasping at straws now) might the type of processor make a difference in how the Finder functions? (I'm on Intel.)
