[ANN] TagMinder

TagMinder is a set of AppleScript scripts enabling you to tag Finder items with words or phrases. Tags allow you to find files by tag using Spotlight, without regard to their names, contents, or locations, adding an organizing principle to your files that is separate from and more flexible than the filing system's folder structure. TagMinder inserts tags in a Finder item's Spotlight Comments. TagMinder includes several scripts to help you manage your tags.

TagMinder is free, and the source is included.
