Hi Everyone,
I'll start by saying that I am very new to Applescript and really only
understand the basics at the moment.
I am blind and use voiceover to read the screen. However I have two
applications, vmware and emacs where having voiceover on gets in the
way. Each time i switch to either app I turn voiceover off using
command f5.
I was hoping that there was a way to run an applescript each time an
application gains or loses focus.
What I want to have happen is:
Application gets focus.
- Check if it is either emacs or vmware. If so turn off voiceover.
- If it is not then make sure voiceover is turned on.
Can anyone give me some pointers how to achieve this?
>From my reading I have the vague understanding that I can use the
accessibility API to get system events and trigger applescripts. I for
the life of me can't figure out how this is meant to work though.
Any pointers would be greatly appreciated.
Kind regards
Bart
