Particulars of Finder Windows

When I use:
tell application "Finder" to open POSIX file "/volumes/Lisa/Scratch"

is there a way to specify the particulars of the window -- its position, dimensions, view mode [list | icon view] sort order, etc?

Is there a way to discover the particulars of a given window so that I can use these in my script? Perhaps, select the front window and tell Finder to get me all its properties so I can paste them into a script?
