Hello

I missed the fact that you asked about a contextual menu.

If my memory is OK, the question was answered some times ago.

Your instruction
	tell editbox to perform action "AXShowMenu"
display the menu but doesn't activate it.
You must issue an other command to make the menu 'running' so that you may get the count of items.

I apologize but I have many mails to answer so I can't search in old messages to retrieve the exact info.
