'system attribute "sysv"' only "fails to reflect" the .10 and .11 parts.
:)  For everything else and for every other version so far, it's fine.

All other methods fail on systems earlier than the one in which they
were introduced. As I like to describe it: the method you use to divine
the system depends on the system.  ;)
