The simplified version of the script returned an empty list for me. Mac OS X 10.7.1 on a MacBook Pro (3.06 GHz Core 2 Duo).
I have the latest version of Dropbox installed, which reportedly uses APE to inject code into the Finder. When I quit Dropbox and rerun the script, it still returns an empty list.
BUT HERE's SOMETHING INTERESTING. I shut down the computer and restarted, with Dropbox running, and THIS TIME THE SCRIPT RETURNED THE CORRECT LIST of selected items.
Just to be thorough, I used Dropbox to open my Dropbox folder, then reran the script, and it still worked correctly, returning the list of selected items.
So the problem does not appear to be Dropbox or whatever it uses to inject code into the Finder. And the problem appears to arise after something builds up over time. |
