Acrobat Applescript Javascript Question

  • Thread-topic: Acrobat Applescript Javascript Question

I've got an Applescript that saves a PDF using the _javascript_

do script "this.saveAs(\"" & OutputFile & "\");"

One problem is that the type of PDF saved is the most recent version. I need to save PDF's as version 1.3, which is PDF/X1-a. Does anyone know how to call a _javascript_ function to do this, or how to get plain old Applescript to do a "save as" where the file type can be specified?

Thanks,

Garry Simon
