Pre-lion I used to try, in the FInder of course, to move a file and, if that failed, would know that the source and destination were on different disks, and then try to duplicate the file (if that failed, then probably the destination was locked).
However, with Lion, the 'move' command is working even between two disks, but it's actually doing a copy (duplicate).
Has anyone else noticed this. I really do want to do a move, but it's now more difficult to determine when I need to clean up the original file.
