i had a problem creating msgs w/attachments that turned out to be a timing problem; adding a short pause b4 sending fixed it...ymmv;-)

ain't it da troot;-)

Well, I'd tried the above (i.e., with a fixed delay) but it didn't work too well--it still dropped attachments occasionally. And it didn't make sense in that adding a link/pointer to an attachment into an email instead of sucking in the whole attachment itself into the email shouldn't depend on the size of the attachment since the size of the link/pointer should be constant regardless of the size of the attachment. But I tried working with a variable delay anyway, based on the size of the attachments:

delay (round ((message size of thisMessage) / 10240)) + 1

so that bigger spams get a longer delay while smaller spams get a shorter delay. Thus far, it's semi-working in that I still got a dropout when my system was busy but only of one attachment instead of multiple attachments. So I think I've somehow masked the issue for a while without really fixing/solving it.
