Hello Folks.

I stumbled upon the same problem as you did Luther, and I found the process rather awkward, but it worked.
Next time I did a bummer with a service, I became more creative, -as I'm lazy ;-)

I first removed the shortcut by using backspace. (maybe unnecessary).
Secondly I removed the check mark from the service.
Thirdly, still having the Services Menu open of the keyboard preferecences pane, I switched to the Finder, and removed the offending service.

When I switched back to the Services Menu of the keyboard preferences pane, the offending service were gone.

I really think Apple should do something with the interface for configuring services. It is quite cumbersome, and it isn't easy to get an overview, especially for new users, whom could have leveraged from the possibilities this feature opens for.

I think it would have been nice if the services item could have gotten its own preference pane, as the hiearchical list becomes far too long far too soon.

Here are too small services for you:

1. Keyboard shortcut opt cmd "," : tell application "System Preferences" to actiavate.

2. tell application "Finder" to open posix file "/System/Library/PreferencePanes/Keyboard.prefPane "

Sincerely

Tommy
