Is Image Disk Trash Empty?

  • Subject: Is Image Disk Trash Empty?

I have a script that I use for burning .sparsebundle files to DVDs. It occurred to me that it would be a good idea to refuse to burn a disk whose trash is not empty. I might want to empty the trash and use the free space on the disk for additional files.

I have tried scripting Finder and System Events and using 'do shell script ...' to get information on the disks ".Trashes" folder, but no luck.

Any ideas?
