A mystery, apparently:

A couple of days ago, I got a new 500GB external disk drive. Partitioned it into 7 disks of various sizes.
Some of these partitions are currently unused, but their icons still occupy space on my desktop.
So, I wrote a "Cloaking_Device" to make some of these icons invisible.
Problem: If this line ...
tell application "System Events" to set visible of disk item (diskAlias as text) to showIcon
makes a disk icon invisible (showIcon = false), an identical icon named "client node" appears in its place.
Relaunching the Finder removes this unwanted icon.
What is a "client node" ?
