Title: Re: Pinecode replacement
Years ago I downloaded a program called Pinecode Database Publisher fro http://www.pinecode.nl/ to do some merging work between Filemaker and Indesign. It has worked great for me over the years, especially the ability to choose a Filemaker field for the resulting InDesign file name. However after updating Indesign to CS5 I find it no longer works. I have been trying to get in touch with the developer to check on an update to no avail.

I have downloaded the source code from his web site and have absolutely no idea what to do with it. I have never worked on an xcode project and can barely do anything with plain applescript. So my questions are:

1. Does anyone know of anything similar to the above program?
2. Has anyone out there already updated this program for CS5? If so how much for a copy?
3. Anyone interested in updating this program for CS5 for a small fee?

Thanks everyone.
Paul

Yes Paul, inside InDesign itself there are something called Data Marge, in CS5 is under Windows Utilities.
It works more or less like you describe.
There are other outside but you need to pay for that
