As Property List Editor is no longer available in Lion, you may go to :
http://www.nightproductions.net/prefsetter.html
and download their application entitled
Pref Setter.app
It was not modified since 2008 but I ran it without any problem in Lion to examine plist's contents.
Of course, it's certainly not using sandboxing but for a reader I guess that it's not really a problem.
