That's an alias to an AppleScript source code file (created in Smile or ASE). ASE is about to create from it a non-editable application bundle in the temp items folder; then copy a bunch of files to its Contents; then copy the result into the folder containing the source code file. (then save a copy of the source to a "versions" folder.)
