I downloaded Developer Tools 4.1 for Lion last week on a free account.
But, there seems also to be a version 4.0.? for Snow Leopard.
My current version of Developer Tools in Snow is 3.2.6.

I checked both the App Store and ADC.
The only recent versions of Xcode I can find are:
	version 3.2.6 for Snow Leopard
	version 4.1 for Lion

Does anyone know if Xcode version 4.0.? for Snow Leopard exists?
