Hello. I have a simple question. If you choose Save As, AppleScript will let you build an app. Is it possible to build AppleScript apps for Intel Macs only as opposed to in Universal Binary? The submission to Mac App Store requires that you have an app that is built for Intel Mac only. And I don't know if AppleScript apps that are included in the package must also be built for Intel Macs only. I have one AppleScript app that I use to relaunch the application.
Under 10.6, the Apple Editor create intel only applications. I don't know the Smile Behavior.
Are you sure? I have 10.6.6 and scripts saved as an application via AppleScript Editor always show Kind: Application (Universal)
I was wrong.
The Release Notes claims :
Script File Formats AppleScript Editor no longer supports saving applications in the old single-file format. All scripts saved as an “Application” will be saved as an application bundle with three supported architectures: ppc, i386, and x86_64. Such applications can run on Mac OS X v10.3 and later. Old single-file applications opened in AppleScript Editor will be treated as read-only files: you must use Save As to save them, and they will be saved in the new format.
