I can't say that the following [real paper] books cover your exact situation, but they certainly cover script inheritance:
AppleScript: The Definitive Guide, 2nd Edition
by Matt Neuburg (O'Reilly, 2006)
Learn AppleScript: The Comprehensive Guide..., 3rd Edition
by Hamish Sanderson & Hanaan Rosenthal (Apress, 2010)
AppleScript (Developer Reference)
by Mark Munro (Wiley, 2010)
In the first two books, it's in a chapter about script objects. In the last book, it's is addressed in a two-chapter section about libraries and modules. (The latter two books are relatively not old.)
