I read something, some time ago, that said you can "self-sign" an application using a certificate created locally via Keychain. I no longer recall where I read that. If I find it, I will let everyone know. If you find it, please let us know.

This has me worried. According to all previous documentation, an application is SUPPOSED to write the preferences to the current users ~/Library/Preferences/ folder. The preferences belong to the user, not the application.
Has sandboxing changed this ?
