Shane,
My McBook Pro, 15-inch Early 2008 has Applescript Editor version 2.3.
I suppose we assumed since it was a new install of Mountian Lion I would have the latest version.
All updates are current.

Do you both get the same version number in About AppleScript Editor [2.5 (138)]? Roberts install over the top of 10.7.4 on an old MBP
Can he be more specific that "old MBP"? -- Shane Stanley < email@hidden> 'AppleScriptObjC Explored' < www.macosxautomation.com/applescript/apps/>
