I will pass this along as something interesting ...

I recently received a complaint from a user of my MailWing application who asked:

> Is MailWing supposed to work with OSX 10.8. When I evaluated the program crashed immediately without any possibility to have it up and running.

After an exchange of messages, I just got this reply:

> Think i found the reason for the error message, 10.8's new security feature that protect non Appstore app's from launching. I always launched MailWing with a Ctrl-click. When changing that security setting to allow all Apps (not using the Ctrl-click), MailWing launches without problems and does so after changing the settings back to AppStore app + know developers.

MailWing has no Gatekeeper or Sandboxing features implemented. I cannot test these features since my mid 2007 Mac mini will not run Mt. Lion. So ... this afternoon, I looked into perhaps buying a new Mac mini that will run Mt. Lion only to discover that it will not run any OS prior to Lion. It seems that I have three choices:

	1. Support only Leopard, Snow Leopard and Lion
	2. Support only Mt. Lion
	3. Operate both a new and an old Mac mini via a KVM switch.

None of which I like!
