Is that feature gone or do I not know

In Applescript Editor"
In Smile?
In Smile - you can go line by line in Smile with your script in an
AppleScript Terminal, pressing cmd-R to run a line at a time. That's got to
be the main reason why most people use Smile. Others who use Smile regularly
can tell you more, though that's all there is to it, really. Satimage has a
good tutorial on Smile, where I just checked this. (Note the "Next" buttons
- otherwise most of it remains undiscoverable.) You must use an AppleScript
Terminal - copy and paste your script into one.
And in Script Debugger - which is commercial, and worth every penny for just
that reason (and many others). But you can try it out and see for yourself.
If you did that once a long time ago, you can probably do so again with the
newer version out now.
