Bizarre FileMaker handling of "do script"

Okay, maybe I'm going crazy, but FileMaker Pro Advanced 12 seems to only execute scripts in the frontmost window.

tell application "FileMaker Pro Advanced"
tell database "XXX" -- also window/document
do script "Test"
end tell
end tell

This script works if a database with a script named "Test" is in the front window. It fails if the database in the front window does not have a script named test.

More bizarre, there is no database/window/document named "XXX" yet that doesn't seem to matter.

Is this something that only I am seeing?
