It is the vast amount of little things like these that really make me hate hate hate Lion.
You just can't trust the OS anymore to behave predictably and that blows.

Subject: Opening Folders in Lion
Lion has an irritating behavior when opening folders.
I have folders that I'm working with that have the side and tool bars turned off.
When I open a folder by double-clicking its icon, it opens without the tool bar.
But, when I open the same folder by any other method, such as:
1. Double-clicking an alias to the folder;
2. Choosing an alias to the folder from a Dock menu;
3. tell application "Finder" to open folderAlias;
it always opens with the tool bar visible.
Surely this inconsistent display of folder windows is a bug.
Has anyone else noticed this? And does anyone know a cause?
