Thanks Yuma, But then, that seems so indirect way of simulating the drag and drop. One would have actually expected Apple to provide this action as a part of System Events --> Processes suite. Apple invented Drag and drop and yet there is no direct way of doing it by System Events .
Also, Thanks John. Though that wasn't a solution i was expecting (because my application doesn't have a dictionary defined for applescript, so i had to use System Events to simulate the end user actions.), i picked the lines in the script you posted.

Hi,
It works when voice over is turned on (command+f5) or with fn key pressed for laptops. Once toggled, you use ctrl-option , and . to do drag and drop respectively between windows or applications. I've used it for some auto scripts on message receive for imessage, but i use voice over anyway. Perhaps you can make a turn on/off script with the voice over suite.
Best regards,
Yuma

Drag a contact from address book and drop it in to the "To" field of a New message in Mail application. Is it possible to explicitly simulate the drag and drop event via GUI scripting? If not, can anyone please suggest a way to simulate this event?
